First Impressions Associate
More Information
Description: Responsible for providing exceptional hospitality and customer service to all MAC members, including but not limited to greeting members and guests and accurately and efficiently routing them to their desired locations; controlling and logging member and non-member access to the facility; routing incoming phone calls; responding to member requests for information and assistance; handling retail and account transactions; functioning as liaison with all MAC departments and keeping the reception area in a neat and orderly manner.

Group Exercise Instructors – Aquatic and Land

Description: Our Aquatic and Land Group Exercise Instructors are responsible for conducting safe, fun and effective group exercise classes for all participants.
Location: MAC Harbor East and Timonium
Hours: Part time; hours vary depending on class schedules
Requirements:
• Instructors must be experienced, committed, energetic, reliable and love to teach. For Aquatic, Instructors must be certified with Arthritis Foundation Certification and/or AEA, Water Art, Cooper-Institute or other nationally-recognized organization. For Land, Instructors must be credentialed with a nationally-recognized certification including BTS

Housekeeper

Description: The Housekeeper is primarily responsible for keeping all Club areas sparkling clean and fully functional. Also responsible for assisting with our laundry department for towel service. Must have an eagle eye for details!
Location: MAC Timonium
Hours: Full Time, 5 day work week; possibility for some evenings or weekends
Requirements: Must enjoy being around people, dedicated, reliable, LOVE TO CLEAN, have some light maintenance experience, work independently, and work quickly!

First Impression Coordinator (Management)
More Information
Description: The role of the First Impressions Coordinator: Primarily responsible for managing three key areas: the Member Check-In & Reception Desk, the MAC Pro shop & the MAC Café. The First Impressions Coordinator ensures proper member check-in and service by delivering coaching, training and by holding the First Impressions team accountable. The Coordinator will hire, train and schedule new employees, ensure all administrative items and supplies are stocked. The Coordinator will oversee the Café and Pro Shop activity to ensure appropriate inventory and ordering of Café and Pro Shop items, and will create and manage business plans for these departments and assist with company and revenue growth.
Location: MAC Timonium
Hours: Full-time
Requirements:
- Highly professional and customer service focused

- Strong ability to balance a varied schedule, multiple tasks and remain energetic

- Financial/Budgetary affinity and adherence to deadlines

Kids Club Associate

Description: The Kid’s Club Attendant is primarily responsible for greeting members and their children, and to provide proper safekeeping, educational entertainment and orderly supervision of all MAC children. Create a fun and happy environment where children want to come back often, and maintain the Kid’s Club in a neat and orderly manner.
Location: MAC Harbor East (Opportunity at MAC Timonium has been filled)
Hours: Primarily opening hours and weekends; Part time; must be flexible
Requirements: Must be very energetic and have good stamina, positive and service-oriented; have experience working in a child-care or educational environment; must be disciplined and accountable for work and schedule; reliable and dependable; and truly love being with and entertaining children.

Lifeguard

Description: The Lifeguard is responsible for assuring consistency in safety, cleanliness and the efficient operation of the Aquatic Center.

• Must be positive, enthusiastic, pro-active, pleasant, dedicated, enjoy interacting with members, and service-oriented.

Membership Representative

Description: The primary responsibility of the Membership Sales Representative is to effectively recruit new members into the Club through active prospecting, utilization of the MAC’s referral program and community outreach, as well as to provide excellent customer service to our existing members. Through an effective sales process, the Membership Rep is expected to produce a consistent sales effort in order to exceed both personal and team sales goals.
Location: MAC Timonium
Hours: Full time; must be flexible; 5 day work week
Requirements: Must be motivated and a self-starter; financially and goal-driven; team oriented; accustomed to and experienced with working with sales goals and quotas; able to remain organized and focused in a fast-paced environment; strong communication skills; have prospecting experience; previous inside and/or outside sales experience preferred; previous industry experience preferred; must be exercise and health-oriented.

Personal Trainer (Land)

Description: The primary responsiblity of the Personal Trainer is to provide personalized fitness programs that are motivating, safe and effective to individuals and small groups based on respective goals. Also responsible for prospecting and scheduling clients.
Location: MAC Hunt Valley, Timonium and MAC Harbor East
Hours: Full Time, 20-25 sessions/ week minimum, scheduled by appointment.
Requirements: Certified by NSCA, ACSM, NASM, ACE or NSPA; 1 year of full time personal training experience; BS degree in health related field preferred; Candidates must be service oriented, experienced and passionate about fitness and helping others.

Personal Trainer (Aquatic)

Description: The role of an Aquatic Personal Trainer is to provide motivating and personalized Aquatic Exercise programs for individuals and small groups on a regular basis. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: prospecting members and non-members for clients; providing safe and effective exercise routines; tracking and reporting client visits, motivating clients to adhere to their program and to participate in other Club facilities and functions, seeing to the achievement of the participant’s goals, assisting with successful operation of the Aquatic Center, and acting as an ambassador of the Club when conducting off-site sessions and presentations.

Requirements: Certified by AEA (Aquatic Exercise Association), USWFA (United States Water Association), Water Art, ATRI (Aquatic Therapy and Rehab Institute); Candidates must be service oriented, experienced and passionate about fitness and helping others.

Group Exercise Director
More Information Description: The Group Exercise Instructor is responsible for:
- Achieving the MAC Mission by making SURE everyone is getting healthy and fit; on time or ahead of time.
- Creating and keeping members by providing the MAC with exceptional group exercise instructors, classes and promotional programs; supervision, staffing and programming of the group exercise department in accordance with the goals and objectives established by the club.
- Recruit, audition, hire, train, schedule and supervise all staff.
- Maintain an environment within the Group Exercise department that motivates staff to exhibit professionalism, cooperation and fun to satisfy the customers.
- Ensure all instructors maintain Group Exercise Studios and areas in immaculate condition; provide routine maintenance, cleaning and repairs for all aerobic equipment, including electronic equipment, in a timely manner.
Location: MAC Timonium (Full-time) and MAC Harbor East (Part-time)
Hours: Full-time
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years in a supervisory role
- Track record of leadership performance
- Track record of customer service performance
- Track record of team building
- National certification in fitness and/or group exercise

Swim Coach
Swim Instructor (Adult)
More Information
Description: The Swim Instructor is primarily responsible for conducting safe swim lessons for children and adults in private and group settings using specified guidelines provided by the Maryland Athletic Club & Wellness Center. Also responsible for keeping proper attendance records and schedule makeup classes for individuals based on MAC’s policy; teaching clients so that they progress effectively to higher levels of training; providing a certificate to all participants during the last class of each session where applicable; and, communicating in a professional and timely manner to clients within a 24-hour period.
Location: MAC Timonium
Hours: Varies; Afternoon, Evening, and Weekend; based on demand
Requirements: Instructors must be experienced, energetic, reliable and love to teach; must he patient and enjoy children; have organizational skills and be able to manage clients and follow up as needed; excellent communication skills; certification with WSI preferred, but not required
